Ballerina Bunny is designed to start from the bottom up
The pattern has alternative ways to help make this project
less difficult if changing color is too advanced.
Also, this pattern may be made for three years and younger
for potential swallowing hazard.
Crochet Skill Level: Easy if you add white felt for the ballet slippers
Stitches used:
Single crochet (sc),
Finished Measurement:
Approximately 12-13 inches tall
Yarn weight: Medium worsted weight
Materials:
1 skein of medium worsted white yarn
1 skein of medium worsted pink yarn
170yd (150 mm)
U.S. size E-3.5 mm
1 pair black plastic safety eyes (15 mm)
* 2 inch black felt to sew eyes.
* 2 inch white felt to make white stocking to slipper if not changing yarn colors
* 1/2 inch pink felt to shape nose
1 weaving needle
1 skein of black embroidery thread
Polyester fiberfill
6 inch wide pink tulle roll for skirt
Gauge is not essential in this project.
Abbreviations:
[ ]: Work directions inside brackets as directed
CC: Contrast color
Ch: Chain stitch
Dec: Decrease, (2 sc together)
Inc: Increase. (2 sc in 1 sc)
Ballet slippers in pink.
Make 2.
Ch 2, 6 sc in the 2nd ch. (6)
(Inc in the next sc) 6 times (12)
(Inc in the next sc, 1 sc in the next sc) 6 times. (18)
In pink, 1 sc in the next sc around for 3 rows. (18)
*At this point you may continue in pink for the next 4 rows
if you decide to add the white felt piece as the tight and do not have to change yarn.
Otherwise, change to white and 1 sc in the next 6 sc, change to pink to 1 sc in the next 12 sc
for the next 3 rows. (18)
In pink, 1 sc in the next sc around. (18)
This makes the ballet slipper.
Slowly start adding stuffing as you go up. Do not overstuff!
Change to,white form the tight.1 sc in the next sc around (18)

Base of the body in pink.
Make 1.
With pink, connect the 2 legs and 1 sc around. (24)

Stuff and attach. Fasten off and leave a long tail for weaving.
Add plastic eyes.
* Add 2 (15 mm) cut out circles for eyes in black felt and embroider.
Cut 1 (12 mm) piece to create a triangle to shape the nose.
Black embroidery thread to make smile.
Ears in white.
Make 2.
Ch 2, 6 sc in the 2nd ch. (6)
1 sc in the next sc around. (6)
(Inc in the next sc) 6 times. (12)
I sc in the next sc around. (12) for 12 rows.
Arms in white.
Make 2
Ch 2, 6 sc in the 2 nd ch. (6)
(Inc in the next sc) 6 times. (12)
1 sc in the next sc around. (12) for 12 rows.
Assemble.
Attach the arms to the body.
Attach the head to the body.
Attach the ears to the head.
Add 12-14 inches of pink yarn to the front of the slippers and wrap around the ankle to the front..
Double tie and then make a bow..
With 6 inch tulle roll. Cut 2-3 inch strips of 24 pieces and add to the waist like fringe.
Embellish as you wish.
Keep bunny simple if made for three years or younger.
